popularity in Europe - as in America! But we are not living in America, and we don't need to for

KYLESA (USA)
From the great and huge USA arrives one of our most interesting names this year. KYLESA might not be
too well known to the most of us, mut behind the big seas they are big. The league of gentlemen and one
gentlewoman was put up on 2001. They're playing metal with an Avant Garde -grip and they've thrown
bits of psychedelic rock and punk within aswell - experienting metal that is! The live-act includes for
example: two drummers who give the word TWIST a whole new meaning. As summer closes up, KYLESA is in the
studios recording their new album - until june when their European tour starts. That's when the band will
visit the "you-know-where" -festival! Musically you might find some connections to Mastodon, their
brother-in-law Baroness or even the first of Pink Floyd!

SCAR SYMMETRY (SWE)
Once again, SCAR SYMMETRY is an example how irritatingly talented our western neighbourgs are in bending
metal music on it's knees. "We could play some melodic deathmetal" - is what the boys said when starting
the band back in 2004 - and that's where they still are. Their newest album "Dark Matter Dimensios" was
released last year. SMELLS LIKE CIRCLEPIT SPIRIT!!!

DISCO ENSEMBLE
Disco Ensemble made their first appearance in Jurassic Rock in 2008. Now they've brought us new material
with them! The fourth album "The Island of Disco Ensemble" is released in may 26th this year. Why not!
Finnish indie-rock at it's best. And a wild quess; one of the most energetic gigs in Jurassic Rock!?!

SONATA ARCTICA
Kemi metals it up! ...and it does it loud and high. Sonata Arcitca, one of the biggest musical imports
of Finland sold on it's last album "The Days of Grays" gold in Finland. And no, that's not all. They've
done it with all of their previous records too. That's a trick to pull off, eh? The last time the guys
visited Mikkeli was in the new year 2007-2008. And let me tell ya, the amount of the bombing and
the pyrotechnics then...

PMMP
This year is a hatrick for PMMP in Jurassic Rock appearances! You might also want to raise your hat for
the last Emma -gala, for they cleaned the table. The album of the year, the rockalbum of the year and
the band of the year. One might jump to a conclusion that the popularity is not showing any signs of
weakening? Paula & Mira with their band throws their everything to all their gigs with a massive amount
of intensitivity, and Jurassic Rock will be no different! The long gigsummer culminated into Jurassic Rock
for a few years now - and every time the bar is set higher and higher. Amazing, PMMP. Amazing.

The eurovision contest weren't such a success that it should have been, but that doesn't bother these seniors.
Humppa still does it's magic, and the people show no signs of exhaustion towards it! In the Jurassic Rock 2008
we saw a huge mud-worm rolling down the festival area! The only problem is that the middle-european people
love them so much it's getting hard to get them throw a gig in Finland anymore! So you might want to roll
in with a BIG group. Finland, million points! PS Onni Varis is also hot!

Last year these guys printed finnish rockmusic history in their spectacle in Jurassic Rock, when their band
grew from four to five guys as they proposed the keyboardplayer, Em1l "Hippie" Lähteenmäki to join the
band as a full-time member. After that there has happened a lot as their new album "Viimeinen Atlantis"
went straight to the official finnish music-charts number one place and sold gold immediatly! Wonder
what they've got in mind for this years Jurassic Rock? One thing is for sure, one of the tightest live-acts
and a broadside of metal!!

IRINA
Finnish pop/rock lives and does well, atleast according to Irina's popularity. Her gigs really pull you in
and keep you in a tight grip from the first beat all the way to the end of the gig. Her career started officially
in 2004 and has been growing ever since. Hit music, Emma -awards, sold-out gigs.. What else? Come to Jurassic Rock
and find out for yourself! The latest album "Miten valmiiksi tullaan" came out in the fall 2009. This is Irina's
first-time in Jurassic Rock!

Wonder what is it with the drinking water in southern Karelian that makes the toughest metalbands rise up?
Mokoma has made quite the career already and been doing their thing right for a long time. And it will do
it in the future too, for in the spring 2010 is the releasing time of their 7th studioalbum "Sydänjuuret".
It will be a hell of a ride, when the thrashpatrol kickstarts their engines. Wonder if you can still
find your way home after this?

Finnish punkrock's enfrant terribles have physically grown up, but the attitude has not shown signs of
fading since the band was put up in 1988. Everyone has heard a song from them for atleast once in their
lives. Their songs are kinda rough, wonder if that's what does it for finns? The summer of 2010 is
really busy for them, and they're rolling around Finland with no mercy for the equipment for the whole

HERRA YLPPÖ & IHMISET
Herra Ylppö, formerly known in the band Maj Karma decided to test his wings on a solocareer. And the wind
was favourable for him, for the first album "Sata vuotta" got a great welcome from the listeners, as from
the critics too - and it also got the debytalbum -Emma award in 2008! The new album "Pojat ei tanssi" (2010)
got a great welcoming too as well. The band describes itself as "reality rock" and that's what it is!

RAAPPANA & SOUND EXPLOSION BAND
This year the reggae responsibility is given to Raappana with the Sound Explosion Band backing him up!
Raappana is going to publish his new album in 9/2010 so there will probably be some tastes of the new
upcoming album too in Jurassic Rock! This gig is about to chill the rest of your summer completely!

CHEEK-LIVE
Did you know, that the Velociraptor is the most rappy dinosaur of all times? This year the Velocirapper
caught Cheek to perform in Visulahti. Cheek has got all together 4 goldalbums from his two albums and
two singles. This was celebrated in Tavastia the last fall, and unlike normally with a liveband.
Well, that worked out like the plague so this year Cheek is performing with a live band in
Jurassic Rock! Finnish quality hip-hop incoming, yeaaaa!! Fact: Cheek threw 3 sould-out gigs
in Mikkeli in 2009.

SAMULI PUTRO
Zen Café's keeping a break, but the vocalist Samuli Putro - the musical genius - released a soloalbum
last year called "Elämä on juhla". Since then he has been playing around Finland with his genuine
troubadur-like melancholycal rock. This year he has got a band with him, so there'll be a lot
of new stuff around! Putro won three Emma-awards this year in the Emma-gala. That's a lot for one guy.
"Life's a party" is what the man said. Last year in Provinssi Rock he got the crowd sensitive and and
gasping. Let's see how he'll do in Jurassic Rock!

Lapko is an energetic package from Harjavalta and they do their thing with an intransigent attitude.
In march 2010 they released their new, fourth album "A New Bohemia" and after that this trio has
been around Finland rocking your socks off! They've also done a few gigs abroad. August it's Jurassic
Rocks time to rock!

NO SHAME
These guys are not ashamed! Nor should they, for the punk they make is AWESOME! Showing respect for
the real punk-attitude they make a critical stand against the troubles in our society. They boys from
Salo, Finland released their 5th album "Ironing Day" in january 2010 and in august it's time to
change attitudes in Jurassic Rock too! A shame that the first single's covers didn't go out to
public distribution, they were PUNK.

JAAKKO & JAY
The cult-like duo Jaakko & Jay is a duo, that has an EPIC liveshow! Around Finland these fellas
have made you sweat just by watching their energetic gig! You never know what's going to happen
next with these guys around. The only sure thing is, that something will! This show is simply
a "must-see", or you haven't seen anything. Btw, these guys were the warm-up band for Billy Talent
in Helsinki.

MY FIRST BAND
The guys in the instruments behind PMMP will have a sweaty festival in Jurassic Rock this year.
That's 'cuz My First Bands players Vehmanen, Kytölä & Virta are known better from one of the
most popular finnish bands, PMMP! Behind the keyboards there's a guy called Puhakainen, and the
singer goes by the name Mr.Koivula. Great pop with an irongrip-like professionality.
They're debytalbum "You Look So Bored" was released in the winter 2009. And this ROCKS!

These guys won a bandcontest "Alkupiste" in Seinäjoki, in the spring 2010. The reward was
a gig in Jurassic Rock 2010. The guys describe their music as "finnish-western" showing

is playing in Jurassic Rock 2010. We had to change our underwear after listening to the guys
